The continued publication of The Washington Times despite nearly 30 years of financial losses has been an ongoing source of psychological consolation to the followers of Sun Myung Moon, who view the paper as "their" paper and see it as performing a God-given function (even though many of the paper's staff do not see it this way). Hence, if the Times were to fold, this would be a devastating blow to the morale of Unificationists. I certainly hope it happens.
