Sun Myung Moon Funding Quasi-Catholic Group in Africa

[Note: This blog post is reprinted from the August 11, 2007 edition of Scoobie Davis Online]
The cult leader has his fingers in a lot of pies but I'm not sure why he is supporting an offshoot of Roman Catholicism that has married priests that the articles calls The Movement for Married Priests (the official name of the group is Married Priest Now--here's their web site and another article). Could it be Moon's emphasis on "lineage"? On the topic of lineage, check out this muddled but unintentionally hilarious speech by Moon: "Purity, Lineage and the Love Organ (of Life)." My favorite part of the speech:
When we plant a seed, we make sure it is covered. No matter how beautiful and clean a seed may be, it should be covered with filthy fertilizer. Between the love organ and (the other dirty things), which is more precious? The love organ. Why are they near each other? When you do No. 2, your most precious organ must endure the smell. The true seed always needs dirty fertilizer.
